With the arrival of August it seems that the real estate market is hitting its stride as we suspected with deals coming to the table. I found it interesting to take a quick look at Gray’s Crossing with the activity Year to Date. For the first half of the year Gray’s Crossing has seen 15 homesites and 3 homes sold. In the month of July alone, there have been 12 homesites and 2 homes sold and pending. One of these homesites just received three offers and is pending at $22,500 over asking price. This is typical as the late summer/early fall rush approaches and consumers have had a chance to narrow down the community and specific property they desire. Once that decision is made the buyers are acting quickly. I suspect we will continue to see these numbers grow in the resort communities as we approach fall, with all the talk of the “Godzilla El Nino”.

The free Gray’s Tuesday concerts have been a big hit so far this summer and there are still six weeks left, running through Sept 8th.
