I hope you and your loved ones had a wonderful holiday season! With each year that passes, I am reminded of how grateful I am for the memories created with family and friends. I realize how finite the magical window of time with my boys at home, thinking mom and dad are cool and wanting to hang out with us is. With that, I am always seeking out new adventures to enjoy together. Skiing is an obvious choice, but there are so many more offerings at the resorts throughout the winter. The Resort at Squaw Creek hosts sunset snowshoe tours where you and the family will enjoy the beautiful alpenglow on the mountains while learning a little about Squaw Valley. Cozy up around the fire and reward your efforts with s’mores. Other weekly activities include glow golf, family broom ball, ice skating, sledding, and a teddy bear factory. Imagine all of this, along with world class skiing at Squaw Valley a two minute drive from your cozy Tahoe home. Named after one of my favorite ski features in Squaw, the Palisades are a modern collection of ski homes bringing a fresh new look to the Valley. Access to Squaw and Alpine could not be easier with the on-demand app-based transit service called the Mountaineer. This shuttle service is available at no-cost to any in-valley rider that summons the vehicle via the app. There is also a 2.5 mile bike/walking path that is cleared of snow in the winter if you want to go for a run or walk to the Village at Squaw. Another benefit of the Palisades community is the Squaw Valley Park with a large synthetic turf soccer field, playground, pickle ball, restrooms, picnic area and bike/hiking trails.
