We awoke to cold temperatures and snow on the ground this morning which is a very welcome sight with Thanksgiving approaching and many visitors and locals alike ready to hit the ski slopes.
Northstar Opening Day
Northstar has pushed out opening day with the dry weather we have been experiencing, but there is no doubt this little storm and cold temps will help with snow making. That should help keep the new scheduled opening day for Friday, November 29th for skiing & snowboarding. The Village at Northstar will open this Friday, November 22nd with plenty of activities, dining and shopping. There is live music this weekend starting from 2-5pm Fri-Sun as well as a DJ from 5-8pm Fri and Sat.
EVENTS
If you are in Truckee this Friday November 22nd don’t miss a 35 year tradition with the Downtown Holiday Festival and Bud Fish Tree Lighting from 4:15 to 6pm. Come enjoy cookies and hot cocoa as 600 + local elementary students decorate trees lining the shops in downtown. Santa will make an appearance and clicktahoe.com will be available for photos to capture the moment. To cap off the evening, the lighting of the downtown tree will take place in memory of Bud Fish, a local Truckee community member.
