Greetings –

August is coming up and before we know it the kids will be back to school and the Fall season will be approaching. The Tahoe Truckee real estate market is starting to pick up steam and we are currently experiencing the calm before the storm as buyers will be concluding their window shopping and making purchasing decisions with winter lingering in the back of their mind.

Until then we have plenty of fun activities coming up in August and we look forward to more beautiful weather and crisp Tahoe mornings. The free Gray’s Tuesday concerts have been a big hit so far this summer and there are still six weeks left, running through Sept 5th. Make sure to mark your calendars for August 15th for my personal favorite – the Wheeland Brothers. They are fun and lively entertainers and include the kids which makes it memorable. Call ahead of time to make a reservation with a table at PJ’s, or bring a blanket or chairs to spread out on the event lawn. Here is a link to the event schedule: Gray’s Tuesday Concerts

To fill the gap between Gray’s Tuesdays and Truckee Thursdays, we also have Music in the Park Wednesdays. These concerts take place at Truckee Regional Park Amphitheater from 6:30 – 8pm every Wednesday and are free to attend. There are 5 weeks remaining running through August 30th with some great talent on tap. Here is a link to the concerts as well as the entire community calendar for the Truckee Donner Recreation and Park District: Music In The Park

If you are in town today take the kids out to Squaw Valley under the stars in the event plaza for the complimentary outdoor summer movie from 8:30 to 10pm. This week they are playing the movie Sing and there are 5 more dates in August to enjoy. Here is a link to the calendar: Outdoor Squaw Summer Movies

For the Adults you can check out the Truckee Taproom Tour . I am very excited to try out the new Alibi Ale Works which just opened in July. It looks like a great place to grab a cold one, enjoy some small bites and good company.

Enjoy new construction in the Woods at Gray’s Crossing with mature trees and open space to the rear. Families will appreciate the dual master floor plan with a good blend of mountain elements and contemporary finishes. The oversized two-car garage accommodates all the Tahoe toys with a mud/laundry room to welcome you home from your adventures. The upstairs master suite has privacy with golf views and east to southern exposure providing plenty of natural light.
