Tis the Season

Greetings –

We have received a little dusting of snow and the temps are cold enough for the ski areas to go full force with snowmaking just in time for the holiday week.

Northstar Opening Day
Northstar is now scheduled to open for skiing on November 23rd. The Village at Northstar will be open to guests starting Friday November 18th for ice skating, music and the ever popular Cabana Bars for the kick off of Hot Toddy season. If you are in the mood for an adult beverage check out my personal favorite with the Dirty Snowman.

Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows Opening Day
Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows have also announced their opening day for November 23rd and have their annual season pass holder Welcome to Winter party scheduled for November 26th.

EVENTS
If you are in Truckee this Friday November 18th don’t miss a 35 year Truckee tradition with the Downtown Holiday Festival and Bud Fish Tree Lighting. Come enjoy cookies and hot cocoa as school children decorate the downtown tree and Saint Nick will make an appearance for complimentary pictures from Erskine Photography.
